This film tells the story of incredible passion of a father who tried to pursue happiness, for himself, his son and his wife. In a a hard life, every night the father, Chris Gardner often pondered why he and his family can not be happy? Why other people can be happy ? Trial after befall him, ranging from debt pay rent apartments for 3 months, debt to pay taxes, then always subscribe to deal with the police because of the car parking to be abandoned his wife, unable to bear the economic state of a broken family.

 

At one point Chris Gardner also be separated from his child because to be taken by the mother, but Chris Gardner begged his wife not to separate him and his son, he promised to make his child happy and continue to seek happiness for the children. With the trust of his wife, the wife finally let the child live with the father. Then began the struggle for life and the child's father. Starting from evicted from rental housing because they can not pay the rent until they were both one day stay in a public toilet in the train station. Then they both always scrambling to get a room at a refugee camp to get some decent sleep under a roof. Chris Gardner's struggle in the search for happiness is also done in an apprenticeship program in the stock brokerage firm.
